The digital transformation of the public sector is proceeding, but it is undoubtedly too slow. General artificial intelligence excels as a key tool to accelerate this process and offering more modern and efficient administrative services, especially during the lack of resources.
Post from Joe Ghattas, CEO of France
The development of AI tools such as Chatgpt, now anchored far behind the technological sector, will highlight the pressure on innovation in many areas. Their integration into everyday life, whether answering simple questions, automation of repeated tasks, or simplify administrative procedures, emphasizes AI capacity, defining expectations in key sectors such as public services, defense, health and education.
Citizens expect more efficient digital services
According to a digital barometer, 73 % of French people have made at least one online administrative approach in the last 12 months. In fact, a massive acceptance proves that the digitization of public services is well engaged, but which also reveals its limits, in fact, according to a barometer, almost one of two French people (44 %) still encounters difficulty during its online administrative procedures. These obstacles are not only caused by a lack of digital skills. The problem is based primarily on the way in which the services are designed: unwelcome interfaces, complicated courses, difficult information to be found … so many brakes that cause the experience to frustrate and ineffective.
With technological progress, including generative AI, citizens’ expectations are developing rapidly. It is used to liquid and reactive services in the private sector and is now waiting for the same simplicity by administrative platforms: accessible, clear and quick procedures. To meet these requirements, public services must speed up the modernization of their digital tools while maintaining the safety and compliance standards. It is no longer just a question of digitization of platforms, but to be truly effective and intuitive, and at the same time managing costs and deadlines. The main challenge, but necessary to ensure a user experience until current expectations.
Generative AI, key lever for public services
If the digitization of public services has allowed citizens easier access to online procedures, digital tools and internal administrative processes often remain complex and redundant, which is necessary to rationalize. In France, despite the Act on the Digital Republic 2016 and in the Public Action Program 2022, the modernization of management tools is trying to follow.
For effective digitization from the beginning to the end, it is not enough to dematnerize procedures: it is also necessary to re -evaluate the processing of requirements, management of documents and communication with citizens. This is where generative AI becomes necessary. Rather than a simple auxiliary tool, government administration can work in depth by automating repetitive tasks and facilitating the analysis of complex data. This approach has already been admitted in the private sector to optimize business processes and could transform public administration and meet the growing expectations of citizens in terms of efficiency and transparency.
AI and low code, winning duo
The AI -based technology concept is not new. For decades, the company has used tools such as low code platforms, to speed up and optimize application development. Generative AI associated with low code platforms simplifies and speeds up application development. These solutions are already using companies to reduce manual programming and allow management to quickly create tools adapted to their needs while guaranteeing data security.
By combining AI and low code, communities and public services can easily adapt and deploy applications, optimizing their internal processes and improving access to digital services for citizens. This approach is a necessary lever for more efficient and reactive administration. This makes it possible to take full advantage of the AI potential and integrate it in a targeted way in processes to increase administration efficiency and provide citizens of better digital services.
